Alhamdu lillah I, Shaad Ahmed, am happy to announce that Husna Nasruddin won 1st place in the Junior Biology division at the Central Regional Science Fair. She will insha Allah go on to compete in the state science fair in the middle of March. Here project was about the environmental aspects of DNA. Nayeem Hossain got honorable mention in the area of Junior Earth Science. His project was about how solar panels can be an energy efficient alternative in our homes.

For elementary school people were very impressed by Tarik and Osama Dahnoun's project about electrical flow and even though they didn't win anything formally they still did a great job. Yasmin Nasruddin had a genuine project talking about chewing gum being a way to reduce the tearing caused by onions and even though she didn't win she had a lot of people excited to reduce their crying while cutting onions.

I am so happy at the way Al-Iman School was represented. The students showed how Muslims act and maintain themselves while still being high achievers in science!
