The Education Committee would like to thank those who participated in its first extended survey.

About 350 people participated in the survey either online or by paper. The survey will help us to understand the community’s needs and expectations.

We are conducting further analyses to categorize and prioritize the other educational needs for our community. Insha Allah, the Education Committee will conduct a follow-up survey in six months to evaluate our progress.

The main 5 educational programs identified by the survey are:

1. Core Islamic studies: Aqedah (Creed), Quran, Hadeeth, Fiqh, etc.
2. Islamic Manners: Etiquette, Contracts, Conducts, etc.
3. Family Issues: Rights and obligations, Raising kids, Disputes, etc.
4. Arabic Language: Quran, Basic reading, writing, conversational, etc.
5. General Islamic Issues: Sirah, early and contemporary Islamic history, etc.
