UNC Research on Raleigh Islamic Community
From September 2004 to April 2005, six first year Master of Public Health
students from the School of Public Health, University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill, completed an Action-Oriented Community Diagnosis (AOCD) of the
Raleigh Islamic Community, under the guidance of Dr. Ahmad-Rufai Abdullah.
Action-Oriented Community Diagnosis is a research assessment designed to understand the cultural, social, economic, and health experiences of individuals who live in the community.
This final report (two PDF files), represents a culmination of the year-long
activities which included a community forum held on April 22, 2005, when the
student health practitioners presented a summary of their research
findings.
